Continuing to stake his claim as the signing of the season, Parramatta Eels forward J’Maine Hopgood has signed a new deal at the club that will see him remain until the end of 2025.
Hopgood, who joined the Eels from the Penrith Panthers, has not missed a beat in 2022, as he digs deep, works hard, and as a result, has quickly become a fan favourite.
A proud Indigenous man, Hopgood has also demonstrated his off-field leadership, bringing the entire Eels team together for a cultural immersion workshop ahead of Indigenous round.

The club are undoubtedly pleased to retain Hopgood as Eels Head of Football Mark O’Neill praised both Hopgood’s work ethic and his off-field leadership.
“J’maine has been a tremendous addition to the Eels’ squad and has brought much more than his football talent.
“J’maine is tough, has a great work ethic and a good offload in his game.
“Not only is he performing on the field for the team, but he has connected well with everyone at the club and has brought a strong cultural presence.”
