In what has been a topsy-turvy season for the Manly Sea Eagles in many ways, one shining light has been Taniela Paseka and the prop has been rewarded with a new deal.
Paseka’s new deal runs until the end of the 2026 NRL season in a sign of confidence for the talented forward.
In his sixth season with the Sea Eagles, Paseka has become one of Manly’s most potent forwards as he drew praise from coach Anthony Seibold for his consistency this season.
“This has been Taniela’s most consistent year of NRL with him being our starting front-rower all season,’’ Seibold said.
“He has closed the gap between his best and his worst games.”
Seibold expects Paseka to get even better over the course of his new deal and knows he can take on even more responsibility.
“I think by giving him some responsibility as that starting front-rower, he has done a really great job being a more consistent footy player and that comes down to his preparation, which has been good each week,” Seibold continued.
“Taniela is well settled here at Manly and his best footy is in front of him over the next couple of years.”
