In what has been a turbulent season – and somewhat deja vu for the Wests Tigers – a promising light has been recruit and captain Api Koroisau.
Koroisau, always known as a live-wire at the hooker position, has excelled in the leadership role and has rightfully had his contract extended until the end of 2026.
Although times are currently tough for the Tigers and their fans, Koroisau looks forward to the future and believes the fortunes will change.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to further demonstrate my commitment to the club,” said Koroisau.
“I’m excited for the present and the future, and I’m just so proud to be leading our team.”
“I’m also excited to be working with the young talent we have coming through and helping them to become great NRL players.”
Koroisau drew praise from head coach Tim Sheens for his leadership and captaincy.
“He is a great leader and he has done a wonderful job this season,” said Sheens.
“I think this is tremendous news for our club and for Api.”
