One of the primary reasons behind the Newcastle Knights solid run so far in 2023, Greg Marzhew will stay on for a bit longer, re-signing until the end of 2026.

Joining in the 2023 pre-season, there had always been questions about whether Marzhew could live up to the potential so many had seen in him some years before.

Marzhew previously had a hit-and-miss period with the Gold Coast Titans but it has been at the Knights that the winger has reached his potential.

As he continues to work on his game and get even better, the sky is the limit and the Knights are pleased that Marzhew is on their team.

His tackle-busting ability is among the best in the game and he has formed a formidable combination with Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best on the left flank.

“Greg has been outstanding since joining the club and has established himself as one of the best wingers in the NRL,” Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said.

“He is still young in years and NRL games played, there is no doubt his game will continue to improve in the coming years.

We look forward to watching his game develop further and we are grateful he has committed to the club.”
