With heavy interest from rival clubs, the Brisbane Broncos have managed to retain yet another key piece, re-signing 5/8 Ezra Mam long-term.
Still only 21, there was no question that 2023 was Mam’s best season to date with a rare grand final hat-trick despite the club’s loss.
Mam joins a litany of local talent to re-sign at the Broncos as they look to keep the core of the squad together and build consistency under coach Kevin Walters.
When it comes to Mam, Walters believes that he will only get better as the years go on.
“Ezra is a born-and-bred Bronco and it’s great that he is staying where he belongs,” said Walters.
“He is an exciting player but he also likes to get in there and do the tough stuff and to do what needs to be done for his team.
“We have only scratched the surface on what Ez can do – we’ll keep on working with him to improve his game and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together over the years ahead.”
