For a long while, it was will he re-sign or will he leave but for the St George Illawarra Dragons faithful, custodian Tyrell Sloan will stick around for a couple more seasons.

Although Sloan has his detractors, the ability and talent is there, evidenced by coach Shane Flanagan’s desire to re-sign the young fullback.

Since his debut in 2021, Sloan has scored 25 tries in 48 games.

Flanagan is putting his faith in Sloan and wants to see him get better and better.

“Tyrell’s an exciting young player who continues to learn and improve every week,” said Flanagan.

“His efforts to improve all parts of his game this year have been really pleasing.

“We’re looking forward to seeing him continue to develop at the Dragons over the coming seasons.”
