It has been a turbulent season for the Parramatta Eels but fans hope the horizon brings better things, starting with the re-signing of forward J’Maine Hopgood.

Hopgood, who was already contracted for the 2025 season, has signed a new two-year deal until the end of 2027.

It was at the Eels where Hopgood came into his own as an NRL player and he is grateful to the club for allowing him to produce his best form.

“I love this Club and I appreciate the opportunities the Eels have given me,” said Hopgood.

I can’t wait to put the jersey back on and represent the Blue & Gold.”

“I feel like I still have so much more to give, I’m committed to this team and to this Club and I’m excited about the future.”

The Hervey Bay local and proud Gooreng Gooreng man is a key asset to the Eels and for the club, they are pleased to keep him.

“We all value J’maine as a player and as a person, he’s a popular teammate and has been one of our most consistent players since joining the Eels last year.

“We are thrilled he has committed to our club, we know what he is capable of and look forward to seeing him reach new heights with us over the coming years,” said Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill.
