Transitioning from rugby sevens to rugby league is not always the easiest task but Parramatta Eels centre Rory Owen made it look easy.
Debuting in round 1, Owen went on to perform consistently, terrorise other centres and players and record 5 tries and 8 line-breaks in her nine games.
Owen even scored on debut and immediately drew praise from Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill.
“The Parramatta Eels are thrilled that Rory Owen has decided to stay an Eel for the next two seasons,” O’Neill said.
“Rory is an exciting talent who has burst onto the scene and quickly established herself as a future star of the game.”
To no-one’s surprise, Owen was pleased to have the chance to re-join the Eels blue and gold and her teammates for the foreseeable future.
“I have really enjoyed my first season in the NRLW, and I appreciate the support that the Parramatta Eels, my teammates, and our supporters have given me,” said Owen.
“I think I have a lot to offer the NRLW. I love footy and I love the environment at the Eels, and how you can see it growing.
“There is a big future for the NRLW, and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Owen is also looking forward to donning the jersey again and playing in front of the Eels passionate fans.
“I am proud to play for this Club and I look forward to pulling on the Eels jersey again in 2025 and entertaining our passionate fans,” Owen continued.
