The Sydney Roosters already boasted a devastating forward pack and it has only gotten stronger with the addition of Rima Butler for two seasons.

Butler, who has had stints with both the Parramatta Eels and the Newcastle Knights, has caught the eyes of many and the Roosters club believe she has the physical prowess to become an elite prop in the game.

“Rima is a front rower who will add power to our pack, and I enjoyed working with her in this year’s M?ori All Stars team,” Roosters coach John Strange said.

“She’s a player who brings a great mix of athleticism and game sense, and she’s proven herself at the highest levels of competition.”

Butler won a premiership with the Knights in 2023 and that experience and pedigree is what Strange looks forward to utilising come the next two seasons.

We look forward to welcoming Rima to the Roosters, and I’m confident she’ll make a strong impact,” continued Strange.
