She was the first English player to make the jump to the NRLW and now Hollie-Mae Dodd will remain with the Canberra Raiders for a further two seasons.
Dodd, 21, was a foundation player for the Raiders back in 2023 and has played 15 games so far the club. It could have been more had she not suffered an ACL injury in late 2023.
At just 21, Dodd has already represented England on eight occasions, and as expected, she is pleased to extend her stay with the club,.
“I’m so excited to have signed with the Raiders for a further two years,” Dodd said.
“I have loved being part of this club and I’m so keen to be back alongside the girls.
“It’s a dream I’ve had since being young playing in the NRLW so I’m super grateful for the Raiders and love pulling on the green jersey.”
Just as pleased is Raiders coach Darren Borthwick who has seen Dodd develop as a player both for the club and internationally.
“I think the time and effort we have put into Hollie over the last couple of seasons, to see how far she’s come even post-ACL injury at the back of the 2023 season, it’s terrific,” Borthwick said.
“I can’t wait to see what she’s going to add to her game and more importantly for our team.
“She had a really good international series that’s just gone by, she was very impressive in that and we are really lucky to have her back.”
