Brisbane Broncos young gun Jada Ferguson will stick around at Red Hill for two more years after signing a new deal.
Ferguson, the inaugural captain of the Norths Devils side in the BMD Premiership and born in Toowoomba, joined the Broncos back in 2021 after stints in touch football and rugby sevens.
Fast forward to 2024 and it was a good year for Ferguson who is also cousins with teammate Shenae Cieisiolka.
“I’m excited to be re-signing with the Brisbane Broncos,” Ferguson said.
“I truly believe we’re building something special both on and off the field, and I’m excited to continue being part of it.”
“The Broncos gave me my first opportunity in the NRLW and I’m incredibly grateful for the club’s support.
“As well as being close to home and having my family nearby, especially with Shenae (Ciesiolka) here, it makes it all the more special for when family come to watch us play.”
Ferguson has impressed Broncos NRLW coach Scott Prince who said her hard work and dedication are what saw her rewarded with a new deal.
“She earned her opportunity to start and has only continued to improve,” Prince said.
“Jada’s commitment to individual improvements in both her defensive and running game is what makes her such a strong extension for the Broncos.
“Her top spot heavily revolves around her fitness levels – she understands you have to be really fit in that position and I know she’s always ready to take that extra step.
“I’m really excited with what Jada has ready to go for 2025.”
