Making his mark off the bench when it counts, Luca Moretti has been awarded a new contract with the Parramatta Eels until the end of the 2027 season.

Moretti, who joined the club seeking first-grade, was handed the chance last season under now departed coach Brad Arthur and has impressed new coach Jason Ryles enough to earn a new deal.

Moretti is grateful at the opportunity to remain with the Eels.

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with the Eels,” said Moretti.

“It’s been a dream of mine to represent this club, and I’m excited to be part of a team that has such a strong culture and passionate supporters.

“The club has given me everything I need to develop as a player, and I’m looking forward to getting out there and giving my best this year.”

Moretti is also an Italian international having represented Italy at the 2021 World Cup and since his Eels debut in 2023, the club have seen huge development in the young forward.

“Luca is a player who has shown immense growth and potential since joining the club,” said Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill.

“This contract extension is a testament to his development and the faith we have in him, and we’re excited to see how he continues to evolve as a player within our squad,” added O’Neill.
