Desperate for a crafty player from dummy half, the Parramatta Eels found their man last year in Reed Mahoney.
Now, after previously being on a development contract only as a young player, the club has announced an upgraded contract for the fan favourite.
Mahoney’s new contract will run until the end of the 2020 season as he moves into the Eels top 30 players for 2019.
Mahoney played in nine games last season after his round 14 debut and was named Steve Ella NYC Player of the Year.
To top it all off, the live-wire and tenacious hooker represented QLD in the U18’s Origin clash last year.
