Every team enjoys a player that plays with a ruthless nature and who loves the tough stuff and for the Dolphins, that man for them is Ray Stone.

Stone has been rewarded for his efforts with a new two year deal under Kristian Woolf’s tenure from 2025.

Missing just one game to date in 2024, Stone received plenty of praise from Dolphins CEO Terry Reader.

“Ray has been one of the real quiet achievers of our entry to the NRL,” said Reader.

“He has been a cornerstone of what we are trying to build here in the way he goes about his business with a minimum amount of fuss but with a maximum amount of effectiveness.

“Ray turns up and puts his absolute best onto the training paddock at every session and onto the field in every game.”

The man himself is equally chuffed to have secured a new deal and Stone says his family have so far enjoyed the move to Queensland.

“I am very happy to have signed a new deal with the Dolphins,” he said.

“My family have enjoyed the move to Queensland, and I am pleased at what we are building here on the field at the club.

“I am excited about what this team could do over the next few years.”
