After making his NRL debut last weekend, the Canberra Raiders have secured emerging forward Noah Martin until the end of the 2028 season.

Coming off the bench in the clash v the New Zealand Warriors, Martin has come through the Raiders’ junior ranks and is pleased to stick around in the nation’s capital.

Martin was pleased to make his debut last week and is pleased to have made his way through the grades.

“To come into the Raiders at a young age and work my way through the grades has been great,” Martin said.

“My dad is a big Raiders fan, and he was pushing me to try out for the Raiders when I was 13. I was able to make the Harold Matts team and go from there.”

“It’s very exciting to re-sign, and I’m just keen to keep on ripping in with the boys and see where the next three years take me.”

Although successive games may not always be an option, Martin says that when the time is right and his next call-up arrives, that he will be ready for it.

“I’m still speechless and getting my head around it. It was a dream come true and something I’ve wanted since I was a little fella,” Martin continued.

“I’m very grateful to have had the chance to debut, and when I get another chance, I’ll be ready.”

The Raiders club believe that Martin will continue to grow and develop as a player and are pleased to have kept the forward.

“Noah is a tough and skilful player who we’ve watched come through our pathways system and develop into someone we believe can have a long career in the NRL,” Raiders NRL Recruitment Manager Joel Carbone said.

“It was wonderful to see him get his opportunity in New Zealand last weekend to make his NRL debut, and we look forward to him getting more opportunities as he continues his time with the club.”
