It is currently re-signing season in the NRLW and the Parramatta Eels have joined the party, confirming the retention of Mahalia Murphy, Rachael Pearson and Chloe Jackson.

The trio have all re-signed until the end of the 2027 NRLW season in what is a huge boost for the Eels moving forward.

Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill praised the trio and believes their signings embody what the Eels NRLW side is all about.

“Securing Mahalia, Rachael and Chloe long-term is a fantastic result for the club,” said O’Neill.

“All three women embody what it means to be an Eel – strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to continual improvement.

“Their re-signings reflect the strong culture we’re building, and it sets a solid platform for our future success.”

Murphy, who has been with the Eels since their inception into the NRLW and is now a club captain, believes the squad is building towards success.

“I’m incredibly honoured to re-sign and continue leading this team,” said Murphy.

We’ve got something special happening at the Eels, and I believe we’re building a squad that can go all the way.

“I’m committed to giving everything I’ve got to help us get there.”

Pearson, who is one of the most experienced halves in the NRLW, can also feel the side growing stronger and she is keen to play a part towards the good times.

“Parramatta feels like home,” Pearson said.

“We have a great group of girls and an amazing support team around us.

“I’m proud to continue my journey here and contribute to our push for success in the seasons ahead.”

Jackson is one that has come through the Eels system and she is proud to be at the club and grateful for what they have done for her on and off the field.

“I’ve loved every minute in the blue and gold jersey,” said Jackson.

“The Eels have helped me grow both on and off the field, and I’m excited to be part of this team as we continue to build something special.”
