Staking his claim to be a mainstay of the Sydney Roosters prop rotation long-term, Naufahu Whyte’s game has gone from strength-to-strength in 2025.
So much so, that the Roosters have moved swiftly to secure his services in the Tricolours until the end of the 2029 season with a three-year extension.
It was back in 2021 when Whyte made his NRL debut with the Roosters and with this year being his chance to step up and excel, he has delivered.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson praised the performances and character of Whyte so far this season.
“Fahu is a competitor with a deep hunger to improve, and he has worked incredibly hard to earn his standing in our squad,” Robinson said.
“He’s a player you love coaching because he gives everything to the team, and he’s also a genuinely good person, so it’s great to have him locked in as part of our long-term plans.”
With 46 NRL games to his name to date, Whyte is honoured to don the Roosters jersey and pleased to have his future secured long-term.
“The Roosters have been my home since I moved over from Auckland as a teenager,” said Whyte.
“It’s a blessing to be part of this Club and an honour every time I pull on the jersey.
“I’m grateful that this is where I will continue to grow my game and I’m excited to keep learning from Trent, working hard alongside my brothers, and building something special together.”
