One of the first signings made by Jason Ryles as Parramatta Eels coach, 2025 has been a whirlwind for young utility Joash Papalii.
Still only 21, Papalii has impressed Ryles at many at the club with numerous traits such as versatility, athleticism and his natural ability, all of which have seen him earn a first-grade spot.
The club, as expected, are pleased to see Papalii commit to the club especially with a vacant five-eighth spot looming with Dylan Brown’s departure at seasons’ end.
“Joash is an exciting talent and someone the whole Club genuinely loves having around,” said Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill.
“He brings energy, skill, and a team-first mentality that fits perfectly into what we’re building here at Parramatta.
“He’s continuing to develop his game under Jason Ryles and the coaching staff, and we’re really excited to see how far he can go in the years ahead.”
