A superstar in the junior ranks in the St George Illawarra system and winning titles with the Steelers in both the Tarsha Gale Cup and Harvey Norman Women’s premiership, Indie Bostock was destined to play for the Dragons.
Still only a teenager, Bostock has enjoyed a prodigious start to her NRLW career despite missing last round with a finger injury.
Bostock, a Shellharbour Stingrays junior, is now forging her own path and following in the footsteps of her older brother Jack Bostock, currently at the Dolphins.
Dragons NRLW coach Nathan Cross is pleased to retain Bostock for the next couple of seasons.
“We’re very excited to announce that Indie will be a Dragon for the foreseeable future,” Cross said.
“She’s another of our crop of local juniors who have been in the system for a few years and had a lot of success.
“Throughout preseason, she worked extremely hard to build her body into an NRLW player and ticked all the right boxes.
“She brings great energy to the group, and I’ve really enjoyed coaching her.”
The Dragons have looked somewhat rejuvenated under Cross in NRLW this season and that leads Bostock to believe that something special is brewing.
“I’m really keen to stay at the club I’ve grown up playing my footy at for the next two years,” Bostock said.
“I believe we’re creating something great here.”
