Emily Bass and Portia Bourke are the latest duo to commit to the Wests Tigers NRLW side as they continue to finalise their 2026 roster.

Newly appointed coach Craig Sandercock and the Tigers NRLW side are going through somewhat of a rebuild but a backline with Bass’ experience is important.

Bass, who has represented the QLD Maroons in the past, has signed a two-year deal with the club until the end of the 2027 season.

“Our first priority was to identify and lock in both the established players and emerging talent within our existing program as we build our squad for next season and beyond,” Sandercock said.

“Emily obviously brings a lot of experience and she was a reliable, consistent presence for the squad.”

Bourke, who joined the Tigers midway through last season as an injury replacement player, impressed the club’s top brass to earn a new deal.

“Portia took her opportunity with both hands at the back end of the season and showed her ability at NRLW level,” Sandercock said.

“They brought the sort of qualities we’re looking for both on and off the field in 2025, and I’m looking forward to working with them,” he continued.
