The Manly Sea Eagles have moved swiftly to add an interim coach with club legend Kieran Foran to take over the mantle.
After the sensational sacking of Anthony Seibold just three rounds into the season, Foran steps up.
A premiership winner and Kiwi international during his time as a player at the Manly club.
Now, as interim coach, he is backed by Chairman to do well.
“Kieran has given so much to this Club over many years and we are delighted that he has accepted this new role,” Penn said.
“The fact he has only recently finished his playing career is an advantage, he understands the current pace of the game and what we need to do to compete.
“He is Manly through and through and we know that he will pour all his energy into this new role.”
The Sea Eagles are a team close to the heart of Foran and he wants to do whatever he can to help the team get back on track.
“I love this Club and I want to do everything in my power to continue the success we have had over many decades,” Foran said.
“The Sea Eagles have given me so many opportunities over the years and I want to continue to help wherever I can.
“We have a tremendous group of players and coaching staff and I have every confidence that we can achieve a lot together this season.
