It seemed the Melbourne Storm would only see players depart but they have announced a much-needed backline signing with Jamayne Isaako to join.
Isaako, currently playing on the wing for the Dolphins, will join the Storm on a two-year deal.
With 164 NRL games to date across three teams; the Dolphins, Gold Coast Titans and Brisbane Broncos, Isaako is known as a prolific finisher and goalkicker.
Just last year, Isaako led the NRL in points scored and he drew praise from the Storm General Manager of Football, Frank Ponissi.
“Jamayne is a high-quality and experienced player who adds speed and versatility to our backline,” Ponissi said.
“With Jamayne’s partner Abby having her parents based in Melbourne, this move suits both parties incredibly well, and we’re confident he’ll be an excellent addition to our Club and make a strong contribution to our squad over the next few years.”
