Sharks Jersey Members OnlyThis smart member promotion run by the Cronulla Sharks is set to propel their members right into the limelight.

Any new or existing member that renewed their membership prior to last Friday would have their name displayed on the Sharks jersey for their Round 1 clash with the Melbourne Storm.

A great unique idea, the Sharks, like several other NRL clubs this year are thinking outside the box to drive new members to their clubs.

The Sharks jersey promo stands not only to nab them a host of new members eager to get their slice of history, but the event also stands to boost their jersey sales – with most of the members more than likely to want to purchase a jersey with the names printed on it.

The smart move is a step in the right direction for the Cronulla club, who has been under siege for almost 2 years now.

With a host of new faces for 2010 and Coldwell Banker as their front of jersey sponsor its a chance for the club to get things going in the right direction.

Heading up a host of new signings, the likes of John Morris, Adam Cuthbertson, Dean Collis and Broderick Wright.

The experienced Morris will be a handy pickup, if Morris can curb his problem with gifting penalties – he is a handy utility player that can drive a team around the park.

Cutherberson had great initiation at Manly and knows what it takes to go all the way, he’ll bring a good positive outlook to the club which will help the forwards in general.

Collis if he gets a good run without injury is a genuine Origin contender, the outside back has good speed and amazing footwork.

And Broderick Wright showed good things at Parramatta, enough to suggest he is a solid forward with good hands.
