He is one of their most promising forwards and North Queensland Cowboys fans will be seeing plenty more of Heilum Luki.

Luki, who proved he was more than capable of playing first grade regularly in 2021, has signed a three-year contract extension.

That extension will see Luki stay with the Cowboys until the end of 2025.

Luki came through the Cowboys Cairns Academy and General Manager of Football Micheal Luck is pleased to retain him.

“We are thrilled to finalise Heilum’s extension,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.

“Heilum encapsulates why this club was built.

“He’s a local junior who came through the grades with the Northern Pride and then graduated to the NRL here at the Cowboys.”

Luck also praised Luki for the impressive start to his career and looks forward to what lies ahead for the talented youngster.

“He made a promising start to his career last year and has progressed even further in the offseason and we’re really excited about not only what he can do for us this year, but right through until the end of 2025 and hopefully beyond,” Luck continued.
