The Wests Tigers loss is the St George Illawarra Dragons gain as Zane Musgrove moves from one club to the other from the 2022 season.

The Wests Tigers gave Musgrove an early release from his contract to take up the deal with the Dragons for the 2023 season.

Musgrove was at the Tigers for three seasons and played in 35 NRL games over that time.

Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe praised Musgrove for his efforts at the club and wished him the best moving forward.

“He’s very well-liked and respected here at Wests Tigers by his teammates,” said Pascoe.

“This move is an opportunity that works for us as a club and for Zane.

“We wish Zane all the best with his future and thank him for giving his best effort over the past three years.”

With the confirmed release of Englishman George Burgess, signing Musgrove adds another big body to the Dragons’ engine room for 2023.

“Zane is an established NRL player with a strong physical presence and will be a great addition to our forward pack,” Dragons General Manager of Football Ben Haran said.

“We’ve been looking to build our forward pack and we’re excited to see Zane join the Dragons.”
