Players themselves are under more pressure than ever to perform on the Rugby League field - with upcoming juniors and Premier League players waiting in the wings and as full time professionals, failure by the players to perform could result in loss of contract and essentially they will lose their income source.

For fans, the pressure and focus on results in the NRL makes for spectacular viewing. Pressure mounts on clubs, referees and everyone involved - combining to keep the game classed as “The Greatest Game of All”
