Keele Browne and the St George Illawarra Dragons have been linked in NRLW when she made her debut and her time at the club continues to 2028 after a new deal was reached.

After debuting in 2021, Browne became a mainstay of the side from 2022 as a powerful centre on the edges.

Not one to shy away from commitments on and off the field, Browne won both the NRLW Coaches’ Award and Community Involvement Award in 2025.

Browne is no stranger to the club as a whole with the Illawarra representative coming through the club’s pathways and is excited to stay.

“I’m very grateful to be continuing my footy journey here at the Dragons,” Browne said.

“I love the team and culture we are building here, and I have never been more invested in what we are creating here at the club.

“My whole rugby league journey started with this club; I came through the Steelers’ junior representative pathways through to the Dragons NRLW squad. This always has been, and still is, home.”

Dragons coach Nathan Cross knows how invaluable Browne to the side and values her experience despite her relative young age.

“We’re so pleased to be locking Keele down until the end of 2028,” Head Coach Nathan Cross.

“She’s such an important part of our club; her leadership, energy, and dedication are irreplaceable. Despite being so young still, she’s a player that so many of our girls look up to.

“She’s an absolute professional; she won our NRLW Coaches’ Award last year and her work to start the this season has been excellent.

“She’s improved each year she’s been in the NRLW and we’re looking forward to having her continue her journey in the Red V.”
