As all teams continue to finalise the last pieces of their NRLW rosters, the St George Illawarra Dragons have added Ruby-Jean Kennard-Ellis and Amelia Huakau as their supplementary players.

Kennard-Ellis, a Christchurch local, came through the pathway systems at the Parramatta Eels and has previously played in the NRLW for the Eels.

The daughter of former Dragons player Ben Ellis played a total of 15 NRL games across four seasons.

Also joining is Huakau, a Tongan international, and a former Eels and Wests Tigers player in the NRLW.

Dragons head coach Nathan Cross is pleased to add the duo as the supplementary players for the 2026 season.

“Ruby and Amelia are two really good additions for us,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.

“To be able to add players of their calibre on our supplementary list is a fantastic result for us.

“Both have spent a lot of time in NRLW systems and provide us with a good level of experience. They’re both talented, hard-working players who we are confident will play a role for us this season.”
