Opportunity is everything and Klese Haas has taken his in 2026 with the club handing the forward a contract extension until the end of 2029.

Establishing himself as a key player in the Titans cog, Haas is approaching his 74th NRL game this week as he continues to forge his own identity, independent of his brother Payne.

Haas admits that the temptation to play with his brother was strong but he owes too much to the Titans to just leave them hanging.

“Living on the Gold Coast basically my whole life, it means the world to me and my family to lock in a further two years here,” Haas  said.

“I’d be lying if I said the temptation wasn’t there to play together with Payne, but at the end of the day, this club has given me so much and I want to repay that faith here at the Titans.”

Way back when, Haas was given a six week train-and-trial contract and has turned that into a regular starting spot.

“Coming out of school, I got a six-week train-and-trial opportunity to work hard and earn a full-time NRL contract, and now I’m eager to stay and reap the rewards with all of us younger boys that are coming through together,” Haas continued.

Titans coach Josh Hannay praised Haas’ tenacity and the club pathways system.

“Klese is a great example of what can be achieved through our pathways system,” Hannay said.

“He came through Keebra Park and has worked incredibly hard to establish himself as a NRL player since his first grade debut a few years ago.
