Now a veteran of the New Zealand Warriors outfit moving forward, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will remain at the club on a new two-year deal.
The man nicknamed DWZ recently became just the 33rd Warriors player to bring up 100 appearances for the club in what has been a good season to date for him.
At present, Watene-Zelezniak has 16 tries in 15 games as he drew immense praise from Warriors General Manager of Pathways and Recruitment, Andrew McFadden.
“Dallin is a terrific example of a true professional in all he does, a huge asset to the club,” McFadden said.
“He shows so much passion in every area, providing a wonderful role model for all young players coming through our pathways. We’re thrilled to have him with us.”
Praise also came from coach Andrew Webster who knows what Watene-Zelezniak brings on and off the field.
“Dallin is a rugby league identity and a Warriors identity,” Webster said.
“We’re so grateful to have him here … the person he is, most importantly a family man, but also what he brings on the weekends to the team with his energy and his fearlessness.”
