Te Maire Martin’s future at the New Zealand Warriors is secure for another year as the utility signs for the 2027 season.
Martin had a delayed start to the season owing to a broken leg but has since stepped into the halfback role in the absence of primary halfback Tanah Boyd.
The club are pleased to hold onto Martin for one more season as Warriors General Manager of Recruitment and Pathways Andrew McFadden spoke highly of the utility and what he brings to the team.
“We’re delighted to have Te Maire with us for another season,” said McFadden.
“Ever since he joined us in 2023, he has been a key contributor through not just his ability as a player but the example he sets with his attitude and passion for the game and also his determination to come back from adversity.”
Warriors head coach Andrew Webster knows what Martin is capable of and backs his ability on the field.
“I’ve got so much confidence in and respect for Te Maire. He’s such a team-first player,” Webster said.
