Former Rabbitoh, now a Storm player, Beau Champion has been called into the Indigenous side to replace the injured Greg Inglis, with both sides, the Indigenous team and All-Stars team being named, despite a new injury to Sam Thaiday.
Champion, who was a part of last years victorious Indigenous side was officially confirmed as Greg Inglis’s replacement who is still recovering from his off-season shoulder surgery.
Another blow for the Indigenous side, with Sam Thaiday injured, means that he too will miss the clash, and his replacement will be named in the near future.
“It’s always disappointing to lose players the calibre of Sam and Greg but it presents a great opportunity for the players who come into the side,†Indigenous All Stars coach Laurie Daley said.
“Beau had an outstanding 2010 season and his involvement with the inaugural team last year makes him an ideal replacement.â€
