Evarn Tuimavave

The Knights clean-out under Wayne Bennett has continued, with experienced forward Evarn Tuimavave the latest player to depart the club – signing a 2-year deal with ESL side, Hull Kingston Rovers.

Tuimavave, who started his career with the Warriors back in 2002, only joined the Knights in 2010, with injury restricting him to just 33 games for the club in 3 years.

“I would like to thank all the fans for sticking by me after my Achilles injury in 2010,” Tuimavave said.

“I had a great year last year with the boys making the finals, this year just hasn’t gone the way I’d liked it to but everything happens for a reason.

“I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life over in England and I thank everyone at the Knights for my time here.”

Tuimavave will see out the season with the Knights, before moving to Hull KR for the 2013 ESL season – with the Knights giving them their best wishes.

“We would like to pass on our thanks to Evarn for his contribution to the Newcastle Knights during his three years at the Club,” CEO Matt Gidley said.

“Evarn leaves our Club with our best wishes for the future.”
