Sydney Roosters centre Joseph Manu

Sometimes, it is not always about the money and Joseph Manu has chosen to stay at the Sydney Roosters, his home away from home.

The Kiwi international is a fan favourite among Roosters fans and his versatility has been on show for several seasons.

Having come through the Roosters pathway systems, Manu says the club is the right place for him under Trent Robinson’s guidance.

“The Roosters is home to me and I couldn’t see myself playing for another club. From the top-down, I love this Club,” said Manu.

“Trent and the coaches and staff we have here help make me a better player and person every day.

“It’s a privilege to wear the Roosters jersey and I’m excited for what the future holds.”

With 114 NRL games to his name in first-grade, Manu has impressed many but none more so than Robinson.

Coach Robinson has seen Manu fine-tune his game and develop into a budding star.

“Joseph has been with Club since he was a schoolboy and I’ve loved watching him develop into the hardworking player and game-changer we all enjoy watching today,” said Robinson.

“Joey has an incredible work ethic and is confident in the player and man that he is, and it’s great news that his leadership will continue to benefit the Roosters in the coming years.”
