It has been a long time coming but the Dolphins have made their inaugural signing for 2023 and it is Felise Kaufusi.
Kaufusi, currently playing for the Melbourne Storm, will join the Dolphins on a three-year deal from 2023.
The two-time NRL premiership winner, QLD, and Australian forward has a wealth of experience and will bring plenty to the new franchise.
After missing out on numerous other players, the signing is one that Dolphins CEO Terry Reader believes fans can rally around.
“It is imperative that the Dolphins build a squad that contains players of representative calibre and Felise certainly fits that mold,” said Reader.
“He has played 12 Origin matches for Queensland as well as representing Australia, so he will bring some important experience to the playing group we are building to debut in the competition.
“The fact that he grew up in Bundaberg is also a positive for Queensland’s newest sporting team.”
