He has burst onto the scene in 2022 and Penrith Panthers fans will be able to watch Izack Tago do for years to come after the centre re-signed for a further two years.

Already contracted for 2023, Tago’s new deal will see him remain at the foot of the mountain until the end of 2025.

Tago says the chance to both stay with Penrith and to play with his mates was an opportunity too good to pass up.

“Re-signing with the club that I debuted for means so much to me,” Tago said.

”To stay with the boys that I’ve played with over the last few years makes it even better.”

Tago, a St Marys Junior says he is proud to represent the community.

“I’m proud to represent this area,” Tago said.

”I’ve been here my whole life and this place is home to me.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to represent the community.”

Panthers CEO Matt Cameron also knows how important it is to keep players like Tago around.

“It’s great to see another local junior commit his future to the club, and we’re thrilled to see Izack remain in Panthers colours until at least the end of 2025,” Panthers Rugby League CEO Matt Cameron said.

“Izack has made the most of his opportunity in first grade this season, and we’re excited to see him develop his game at Panthers over the next three years.”
