An elder statesman of the Newcastle Knights side now, Tyson Frizell and his experience will be invaluable as the back-rower signs on for season 2024.
There are options in place for a further two seasons; in Frizell’s favour for season 2025 and a mutual option for 2026 should Frizell accept his 2025 one.
As expected, the Knights are pleased to have retained Frizell for 2024 at least, knowing how crucial his experience will be.
“We are delighted Tyson has recommitted to the club,” Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr said.
“His football this year has been as good as it has ever been.
“Tyson’s presence both on and off field is highly valued by our club.
“We look forward to him continuing to play well and provide leadership to help further develop our playing group, especially the young players coming through.”
Frizell currently has 233 NRL games to his name and has previously played for the Cronulla Sharks and the St George Illawarra Dragons.
