Although he is not getting any younger, the North Queensland Cowboys have retained veteran forward Jordan McLean for season 2024.

2024 will mark McLean’s seventh season for the club, who has played in at least 22 games for the last three seasons.

It is McLean’s work in the middle third defensively that puts him in high regard and the Cowboys are pleased to retain him.

“We’re delighted to announce we’ve agreed to terms with Jordan for another year,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.

“Under Todd, Jordan has produced some of his most consistent football of his career.

“He’s a leader on the field and he sets the standard for our playing group every day at training.

“He is a great example to our younger players to show them how to prepare yourself for a game every week over what is a long and gruelling season.”
