2023 was arguably a career best year for both Rocco Berry and Jackson Ford and the New Zealand Warriors have recognised that, re-signing the duo to new deals.

Berry will stay with the club until the end of 2026 and Ford until the end of 2025, as the Warriors continue to fine-tune their roster for the next few years.

With 16 games in 2023, the club backed Berry’s ability and praised his work ethic to string consecutive games together.

“Rocco and Jackson both thrived in the new environment created this season,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.”

Berry drew strong praise from Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.

“Rocco made tremendous strides throughout the season, gaining in confidence as he was able to string a number of games together and show the ability we all know he has.”

That same appreciation was shown towards Ford by the coaching staff as Webster praised both for their efforts in 2023.

“The terrific thing about Rocco and Jackson is their drive to become better each and every day,” he said.

“Jackson hit the ground running the moment he arrived here, demanded a starting spot in round one and never let his standards slip.”
