There has been much said about the Canterbury Bulldogs forward pack and its lack of a leader but if there is one man leading from the front as best he can, it is Max King.
King, who bounced between the Melbourne Storm and Gold Coast Titans before joining the Bulldogs was always seen as a guy that can give you some minutes but not build your forward pack around.
Fast forward to 2024, however, and King has shown that he is that guy and that he can rally the troops around him to muscle up in defence especially.
The exploits of King on the field have seen him receive praise from many rival fans both generally and from fantasy perspectives.
King himself just said it straight, something the fans love about him.
“I love this club, I love this place, I just couldn’t picture myself anywhere else,” King said.
King also admits that he is playing footy and enjoying it and that makes both he and his partner happy off the field as well.
“I haven’t enjoyed footy this much and I’m driving home every day with a smile,” King continued.
“I feel like this is the club of opportunity.”
