As the Brisbane Broncos piece together their changing roster for the 2026 NRLW season, they have re-signed forward duo Brianna Clark and Bree Spreadborough until the end of the 2027 season.
Clark was a consistent performer for the Broncos when she started or off the bench and has been since she joined the club back in 2022.
For Clark, the decision to stay as a Broncos player was an easy one.
“I can’t imagine being anywhere else, for as long as they want me, I’ll give this Club my all,” said Clark.
“Just being a Brisbane Bronco brings a lot of pressure because everyone turns up to play their best game against us.
“I just know this year coming we’re going to have to go up another level after winning the premiership.”
Clark drew strong praise from Paul Dyer, the head of the NRLW Program in Brisbane.
“Bri has been a mainstay in our middle for a number of seasons now and she has a ruthless mentality around her performances,” said Dyer.
“She’s become one of the premier front rowers in the game and a real leader on and off the field.
“It’s comforting to know we’ll have Bri around as we keep pushing for excellence and building on this year’s achievements.”’
Spreadborough impressed after making a move from wing to lock and was headed for a solid season but a fractured leg cut her 2025 season short.

Despite that setback, she is determined to get stuck into the 2026 off-season and get her career back on track again.
“I’m beyond grateful that I get to continue my journey with the Broncos, it just feels like home,” said Spreadborough.
“It’s such a special group to be part of, and I’ve built really strong friendships with the girls and coaching staff.
“I feel like I’m just getting started and have some unfinished business.
“Coming off a big injury this year, my goal is to get back on the field and be even better than before.”
Dyer was also full of praise for Spreadborough, saying no player works harder than she does.
“No player works harder than Bree, both technically and physically,” said Dyer of Spreadborough.
“It was truly inspiring to watch how hard she attacked her rehab from a pretty significant injury.
“Bree has a high work rate, is mentally tough, and will be a really important player for us as we aim for more success in the years ahead.”
