Jakob Arthur, who is the son of Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur, has had his contract upgraded for 2021 and 2022 and will join the Eels top 30.
Arthur, who is a local Eels junior, has progressed through the ranks from the U14 development team.
Arthur has since gone on to play for the Eels Harold Matthews and SG Ball sides and most recently has been playing reserve grade.
Young Arthur has had sustained success in the NSW Cup and the club felt it was a good time to sign him up for the next couple of years.
“Jake has impressed the coaches, staff, and players across the 2021 season. He has an incredibly calm demeanor and talented football brain,” said Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill.
“You would have to search a long way back to find another player with the same passion and determination to succeed.
“Jake has developed through our Pathways program and is currently studying a Bachelor of Sports Coaching at university which is important to ensure his life is balanced off-field so he can perform to his best on-field,” he said.
