Fast becoming one of the most experienced New Zealand Warriors players, Jazz Tevaga has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2024 season.
The new deal will see Tevaga remain at the Warriors for at least nine seasons and at 27, it is likely he may add even more to that list in the future.
Warriors General Manager of Recruitment, Pathways and Development Andrew McFadden praised Tevaga’s all-round game and the tenacity and energy he brings every week.
“Jazz contributes so much to what our club stands for,” McFadden said.
“He brings so much energy, toughness and passion to the team as well as so much care and pride for a club which has been his home for so long.
“We’re thrilled he’ll be with us for another year as we head into an era of real change.”
Tevaga himself is pleased to finally return to New Zealand for home games after a long three years in Australia and looks forward to working with new coach Andrew Webster.
“I’m so happy knowing we’re back home at last for the 2023 season after being in Australia for the last three years,” Tevaga said.
“I’m excited with what lies ahead with a new coach in Webby (Andrew Webster) and a lot of new players.
“And I can’t wait to be playing in front of our fans at last. That’s what I’ve missed the most.”
