There is a changing of the guard at the helm of the Newcastle Knights with Ben Jeffries the new man, signing on as NRLW head coach for three seasons.

Jeffries, who comes with some pedigree, having worked both in Australia and overseas, as well as gigs with the Indigenous All-Stars side and the Papua New Guinean women’s national side.

More recently, Jeffries has been charge of the North Queensland Cowboys and Newcastle Knights Director of Football Peter Parr believes that Jeffries is a nice fit for the Knights moving forward.

“Ben provides us with what we were looking for and we have no doubt the Knights NRLW program will continue to grow under his coaching,” Parr said.

“Ben is an accomplished coach, with a proven track record in pathways programs.

“This role requires a multi-faceted skill set, as we continue to strive for success on the field, in conjunction with further developing a gold standard pathways program.

“Ben provides us with what we were looking for and we have no doubt the Knights NRLW program will continue to grow under his coaching.”
