It might feel a bit like a bit of a back to the future moment for Kelma Tuilagi as he returns to the Melbourne Storm for the 2027 season.
Tuilagi, currently at the Parramatta Eels, rejoins the club where it all began back in 2020.
The NZ-born Tuilagi came through the Storm pathways with the Casey Warriors and although he did not make an appearance in the NRL for Melbourne, he was with the squad in 2020 during COVID.
His first-grade debut would come with the Wests Tigers in 2021 and since then, Tuilagi has gone on to play 88 NRL games with the Tigers, Manly Sea Eagles and Parramatta Eels.
The Storm are pleased to see Tuilagi return to the club after these past few years.
“We’re delighted to have Kelma returning to Melbourne Storm and Victoria in 2027,” Ponissi said.
“Kelma has a strong connection to our Club.
“He was part of our 2020 Premiership-winning squad and came through the Victorian rugby league system, so it’s fantastic to bring him back after he’s established himself as an NRL player.
“He’s a powerful, athletic forward who has continued to develop over the past few seasons. He’ll add experience and physicality to our forward pack, and we’re excited to see him back in a Storm jersey.”
