As the Dolphins set their sights on a possible maiden NRL premiership this season, behind the scenes, the club has retained winger Tevita Naufahu and utility Brad Schneider.
Naufahu will stay on until the end of 2029 with Schneider to stay with the Dolphins until the end of the 2028 season.
For the talented Naufahu, he holds the honour of being the first Dolphins’ academy graduate and in just nine games, he has scored fifteen tries.
Although spots are tight in the Dolphins backline, Naufahu has shown that he is capable of filling in when needed.
For Schneider, the talented utility won a premiership with the Penrith Panthers in 2024 and has added significant impact to the Dolphins side.
His role may increase more with the departure of Kodi Nikorima next season, as he vies with George Williams for a starting halves berth.
Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said the retention of both players was a key step for the Dolphins 2027 campaigns and beyond.
“Tevita and Brad have both made important contributions to our team this season and we are delighted to have them extend their time at the Dolphins,” said Reader.
“Tevita is only 20 years old and has already shown what he is capable of at NRL level. He has continued to develop throughout the year and we are excited about what lies ahead for him.
“Brad has been a great addition to our squad and has shown his value every time he has taken the field. He has provided us with quality and depth in the halves and has made a real impact in his first season at the club.
