The North Queensland Cowboys have two new additions to their NRLW top 24 roster with Emily Veivers and Haylee Hifo joining for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Veivers, who is a Papua New Guinean international, has most recently played for the Wigan Warriors where she won the double; the Women’s Super League and the Challenge Cup.
Still only 24, Veivers, a utility forward, has also had stints with numerous BMD Premiership clubs and drew praise from Cowboys NRLW head coach Ricky Henry.
“Emily is a reliable and incredibly hard?working player who brings toughness to everything she does,” Henry said.
“Her versatility and experience in big games will be invaluable for our squad, and her winning mindset adds a real competitive edge to our team.”
Hifo is also no stranger to league or higher honours with the Tongan international splitting her time in 2025 between the Western Force and the Mackay Cutters.
Henry is also pleased to have Hifo on board and see her utilise her skills with the club.
“Haylee is an elusive outside back with a strong combination of power and speed,” Henry continued.
“She’s calm under pressure, has a lot of effort in her game and brings real presence in contact.”
